I sit down with Dr Mohammed Mustafa, known online as Beast from the Middle East, an emergency doctor who has worked in Gaza. He describes treating mass casualty events, children with catastrophic injuries, severe burns and malnutrition, often without adequate supplies or pain relief, and how restrictions on medical equipment turned doctors into witnesses as much as healers. We talk about the human cost of the war beyond the political debate, the role of international law and medicine in conflict, the relationship between dehumanisation and violence, and what a free Palestine could look like. Dr Mo argues that what he saw has changed him, and that staying silent is no longer an option.
